International distinction of a faculty member
Christina Karatzaferi, Ass. Professor in Exercise Physiology at the School of PE and Sports Science was recently appointed as an Editorial Board Member of Advances in
Physiology Education, a publication of the American Physiological Society, effective as per Jan 1st 2014.
Advances in Physiology Education “promotes and disseminates educational scholarship in order to enhance teaching and learning of physiology, neuroscience and pathophysiology”. It publishes a variety of mostly peer-reviewed articles on teaching and learning issues, as well as some non-peer-reviewed articles such as letters and conference reports (for more info visit http://advan.physiology.org/). The journal has a 2012 ISI impact factor of 1.217, ranks 13th in the ISI category Education, Scientific Disciplines and 61st in the overall category Physiology.
