Ending Violence Against Girls and Women: Sport-Based Approaches
Stiliani “Ani” Chroni (Assistant Professor) on March 6, 2013, at 8:30 am, will open the panel “Ending Violence Against Girls and Women: Sport-Based Approaches” as a speaker during the 57th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, taking place at the UN Headquarters in New York City.
The priority theme of 57th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (UN-CSW) is “Elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls”. The panel “Ending Violence Against Girls and Women: Sport-Based Approaches” is co-organized by the NGOs Women’s Sports Foundation, WomenSport International and International Working Group on Women and Sport.
