International distinction of a faculty member

Christina Karatzaferi, Ass. Professor in Exercise Physiology at the School of PE and Sports Science was recently appointed as an Editorial Board Member of Advances in

Physiology Education, a publication of the American Physiological Society, effective as per Jan 1^st 2014.

Advances in Physiology Education “promotes and disseminates educational scholarship in order to enhance teaching and learning of physiology, neuroscience and pathophysiology”. It publishes a variety of mostly peer-reviewed articles on teaching and learning issues, as well as some non-peer-reviewed articles such as letters and conference reports (for more info visit  http://advan.physiology.org/). The journal has a 2012 ISI impact factor of 1.217, ranks 13^th in the ISI category Education, Scientific Disciplines and 61^st in the overall category Physiology.
